What purity standards do your peptides meet?
Our specification requires minimum 98% purity verified by third-party HPLC analysis. Most batches test between 98.5–99.9%. Every batch is independently tested before release. We reject any batch below 98% purity and it never enters our inventory.
All purity results are published in our COA Vault, accessible using the batch number printed on your vial label.
How are your peptides tested?
Every batch runs through a seven-method analytical panel at Krause Analytical: HPLC, mass spectrometry, endotoxin (LAL), heavy metals (ICP-MS), microbial bioburden, pH stability, and visual inspection.
How do I read and interpret a Certificate of Analysis?

What is the difference between research-grade and pharmaceutical-grade peptides?
Pharmaceutical-grade peptides undergo FDA drug-approval review for human use. Research-grade peptides are manufactured for laboratory investigation only and are not subject to that review process.
Why do some peptide vials appear almost empty?
Lyophilized peptide is a very small mass relative to the vial size. A visually "empty-looking" vial commonly still contains the full labeled quantity — this is normal for freeze-dried research compounds.
What does "net peptide content" mean?
Net peptide content refers to the actual peptide mass excluding salts, moisture, and counter-ions that are part of the raw synthesized material. It's a more precise measure than gross vial weight.
Can I verify your COAs are authentic?
Yes — every COA lists Krause Analytical's direct contact information. You can call the lab and confirm any batch result independently.

How should I store lyophilized peptides?
Store unopened, lyophilized peptides at −20°C or colder in a sealed container with desiccant, protected from light and humidity. Under these conditions, most peptides remain stable for 24+ months. Keep vials in airtight, opaque containers away from direct sunlight.
How long does a reconstituted peptide solution remain stable?
Reconstituted solutions should be refrigerated at 2–8°C and used within 1–2 weeks. Stability varies by peptide — check the specific guidance on each product's COA.
How can I tell if my peptides have degraded?
Signs of degradation include cloudiness or discoloration in reconstituted solution, an off odor, or a change in the lyophilized cake's appearance. If in doubt, our testing service can verify a sample independently.
