Research Use Only Policy

This Research Use Only Policy (“Policy”) applies to all access to and use of astramide.com (the “Site”) and to all materials and compounds offered through it (“Products”). The Site is operated by Naturally Balanced, LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Astramide (“Astramide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. How this Policy fits with our other policies

This Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions. Read it together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy. If this Policy and the Terms and Conditions conflict, the Terms and Conditions control.

Governing law, venue, arbitration, the class action waiver, limitation of liability and indemnification are set out in the Terms and Conditions. They are not repeated here.

By entering the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you accept this Policy in full. We record your acceptance, including the date, the time, and the version of this Policy in force at that moment.

2. What “research use only” means

All Products sold by Astramide are supplied only for in-vitro laboratory research, analytical reference, and scientific study by qualified purchasers.

Products are:

  • not drugs, and are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any use;
  • not foods, beverages, or food additives;
  • not dietary supplements, and are not offered under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act;
  • not cosmetics;
  • not medical devices or diagnostic products;
  • not made under, or represented to meet, current Good Manufacturing Practice for human pharmaceuticals;
  • not sterile, pyrogen-free, or suitable for injection, infusion, or any other route into a human or animal body;
  • not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition.

The FDA has not evaluated any Product for safety or effectiveness in humans or animals. Nothing on the Site states or implies that any Product is safe or effective for any use.

3. Who may purchase

You may buy from Astramide only if all of the following are true. Each one is a condition of sale.

  1. You are 21 years of age or older.
  2. You are buying in a professional, institutional, academic, or independent research capacity, and not for personal use.
  3. You are qualified by training, education, or experience to handle uncharacterized laboratory compounds safely.
  4. You have access to a facility and equipment suitable for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals.
  5. You are not acting for, and will not resupply, any person who intends to give a Product to a human or animal.
  6. You are legally permitted to receive the Products where you are.
  7. You are not buying Products to compound, formulate, or prepare them into anything intended for human or animal use.

We may ask for proof of institutional affiliation, professional qualification, or intended research use before we accept or ship an order.

Delivery verification. As set out in the Shipping Policy, a new customer’s first order requires an adult signature (21+) on delivery. We may require a signature on any order.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not, directly or indirectly:

  • give, ingest, inject, inhale, apply, or otherwise introduce any Product into a human or animal body;
  • supply, resell, gift, or transfer any Product to anyone you know, suspect, or should reasonably suspect intends such use;
  • use any Product in clinical care, clinical trials, veterinary practice, diagnostics, or any work involving a human or animal subject;
  • compound, formulate, dilute, repackage, or otherwise prepare any Product into a form meant for administration;
  • tell or imply to anyone that any Product is safe, effective, approved, or suitable for human or animal use;
  • use any Product to make a food, beverage, dietary supplement, cosmetic, drug, or medical device;
  • use Astramide branding, images, product photos, or Certificates of Analysis in any material that promotes human or animal use.

Any of these is a material breach. It ends your right to use the Site immediately, without notice, and results in permanent account closure.

5. No dosing, protocol, or administration guidance

Astramide does not publish, supply, recommend, or endorse doses, routes of administration, preparation for administration, cycling protocols, stacking guidance, or any information about use in a human or animal body.

Our customer service, sales, and social media staff will not provide this information in any channel, including email, text message, chat, phone, social media, or direct message. A request for administration guidance will be declined and may lead to order cancellation and permanent account closure.

Any handling information we provide covers only laboratory storage, stability, solubility for in-vitro work, and safe handling.

6. Laboratory solvents; no administration supplies

Astramide sells laboratory solvents, such as bacteriostatic water and acetic acid solutions, only so researchers can reconstitute lyophilized material for in-vitro work. They are research materials under this Policy like every other Product. They are not sold for, and must not be used for, preparing anything for administration.

Astramide does not sell, bundle, recommend, or ship syringes, needles, administration vials, alcohol prep pads, or any other supply whose main purpose is administration into a human or animal body.

7. Shipping limits and destination screening

As set out in the Shipping Policy, we ship only to addresses in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia. We do not ship internationally, to U.S. territories, to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, to PO Boxes, or to mail-forwarding or freight-forwarding services.

We screen delivery addresses. Orders going to clinics, medical spas, wellness centers, gyms, or similar consumer-facing locations may be held, questioned, or cancelled, because those locations do not fit laboratory research use.

You are responsible for knowing whether receiving, possessing, or using a Product is lawful where you are. We may refuse or cancel any order to any address.

8. Certificates of Analysis

Astramide publishes third-party Certificates of Analysis (“COAs”) for its batches. A COA reports test results, such as identity, purity, and, where stated, mass, for one batch under specific test conditions.

A COA is not:

  • a certification of safety;
  • a release for human or animal use;
  • a statement of sterility, endotoxin level, or pharmaceutical grade;
  • evidence of FDA approval, registration, or review;
  • a warranty that a Product fits any particular purpose.

We publish COAs so qualified researchers can judge material against their own analytical needs. They do not mean a Product is suitable for administration.

9. Your representations

Each time you place an order, you confirm that:

  • every statement in Section 3 is still true of you;
  • you will use the Products only as Section 2 allows and never as Section 4 prohibits;
  • the identity and contact details you gave us are accurate and your own;
  • you will follow all federal, state, and local laws on receiving, possessing, handling, transporting, and disposing of laboratory chemicals;
  • you alone are responsible for the safe handling, storage, use, and disposal of the Products once delivered.

These statements continue to apply after delivery.

10. Handling, storage, and disposal

You are solely responsible for handling Products in line with applicable workplace health and safety rules, for keeping proper laboratory controls in place, and for disposing of Products and containers in line with environmental and hazardous waste law.

Astramide supplies no personal protective equipment and makes no claim that the Products are safe to handle without it.

11. Controlled substances and sport

Astramide does not knowingly supply any substance scheduled under the U.S. Controlled Substances Act. Some Products may be banned in competitive sport under the World Anti-Doping Code or similar rules. Checking this is your responsibility.

12. Entry acknowledgment records and retention

To enter the Site, you must confirm that you are 21 or older and that you accept this Policy. We record that confirmation along with the name and email address you give, the date and time, your IP address, your browser type, the page you entered on, your stated research role, and the version of this Policy in force.

These are compliance records. We handle them under our Privacy Policy and keep them for seven (7) years, the same period we keep order records.

13. Order review, refusal, and termination

We may, at our sole discretion and without giving a reason:

  • decline, cancel, or refund any order;
  • ask for more documentation before shipping;
  • limit quantities;
  • suspend or close any account;
  • refuse service to any person or address.

We will do this where we have reason to believe a buyer does not meet Section 3, intends a use Section 4 prohibits, or gave us inaccurate information.

14. No warranty

Products are supplied “as is” for research use. To the fullest extent the law allows, Astramide disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability and indemnification are covered in the Terms and Conditions.

15. Reporting misuse

If you see anyone presenting Astramide Products as suitable for human or animal use, including any reseller, affiliate, marketing partner, or social media account, please report it to info@astramide.com. We look into every report and end relationships where misuse is confirmed.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. When we do, the revision date and version number above will change. Material changes require you to accept the Policy again on your next visit. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept it.
