Kisspeptin-10 is a linear ten-amino-acid peptide, Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH₂, with a C-terminal phenylalaninamide. It is the C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin-54, also called metastin, and carries the Arg-Phe-amide (RF-amide) C terminus shared by all kisspeptins. Its formula is C₆₃H₈₃N₁₇O₁₄ and its molecular weight is about 1302.4 g/mol.

What has been studied, and in what systems.
In 2001, two groups independently identified the products of the KiSS-1 gene as the natural ligands of the orphan receptor GPR54. One group isolated metastin, a 54-amino-acid peptide amide (Ohtaki et al., 2001). The other isolated 54-, 14- and 13-amino-acid peptides from human placenta, named them kisspeptins, and showed that they share an RF-amide C terminus and bind rat and human GPR54 with low nanomolar affinity (Kotani et al., 2001). Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest C-terminal fragment of this family.
Later work in mice found GPR54 transcripts colocalized with GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus. Kisspeptin raised LH and FSH in wild-type mice but had no effect in mice lacking GPR54, and in sheep, central administration released GnRH into the cerebrospinal fluid (Messager et al., 2005). These studies place kisspeptin in reproductive neuroendocrinology and GPCR research.
These are published research systems. They do not describe approved clinical applications, and they do not establish efficacy or safety in humans.

About this compound and its batch data.
What is kisspeptin-10?
Kisspeptin-10 is a linear ten-amino-acid peptide, Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2, the C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin-54. Its formula is C63H83N17O14, its molecular weight is about 1302.4 g/mol and its CAS number is 374675-21-5 (PubChem CID 25240297). Kisspeptin Pro is supplied as a lyophilized powder. Sold for research use only.
What receptor does kisspeptin act on?
Kisspeptins are the natural ligands of KISS1R, a G protein-coupled receptor formerly known as the orphan receptor GPR54. In cell-based studies, kisspeptins bound rat and human GPR54 with low nanomolar affinity and triggered PIP2 hydrolysis, calcium mobilization and MAP kinase phosphorylation (Kotani et al., 2001, PMID 11457843).
What has kisspeptin been examined for in published research?
Kisspeptins were identified in 2001 as the GPR54 ligands (Ohtaki et al., PMID 11385580; Kotani et al., PMID 11457843). In mice, kisspeptin raised LH and FSH in wild-type animals but not in GPR54 knockouts, and in sheep it released GnRH into cerebrospinal fluid (Messager et al., 2005, PMID 15665093). Astramide makes no claim about outcomes in humans.
What purity does the current Kisspeptin Pro lot reach?
Lot NHS-KIS05-20260918-01 returned 99% chromatographic purity by HPLC at 274 nm, reported by pH Solutions Lab on 29 September 2026 under certificate 260922-NHS-5. Identity was confirmed as a match to kisspeptin-10 (C63H83N17O14, 1302.4 g/mol). The lot meets the Pro Series release criterion of at or above 99% HPLC purity. The full certificate is published on this page.
How much kisspeptin is in the vial?
The label claim for this lot is 5 mg per vial. For lot NHS-KIS05-20260918-01, the laboratory measured 5.0649 mg of kisspeptin-10, which is 101.298% of the label claim. Astramide publishes the measured figure exactly as the laboratory reports it, above or below the label. Net content and chromatographic purity are separate measurements.
How should kisspeptin be stored for research use?
Lyophilized kisspeptin-10 is stored at -20°C and protected from light. Once reconstituted, the solution is held at 2 to 8°C and used within 14 to 30 days. Repeated temperature cycling and exposure to moisture should be avoided, because both can affect peptide stability and the comparability of experimental results.
How is Astramide's Kisspeptin Pro tested?
Lot NHS-KIS05-20260918-01 was tested by pH Solutions Lab, an independent ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory (A2LA R243, PJLA Testing #84351). The certificate reports identity, purity at 274 nm, net content, water content, pH, water activity, a 10-organism microbial panel, heavy metals, residual solvents, sterility and mycotoxins. Endotoxin is not reported. Results apply only to this lot.
What does Pro Series mean for Kisspeptin Pro?
Kisspeptin Pro is part of the Astramide Pro Series. It is American-made, synthesized in the USA, and moves by domestic ground and air only, with no ocean freight. It is released under its own lot, and only when HPLC purity measures at or above 99%. The full certificate for each lot is published on this page.
